Event Details

Join us for some Epic desserts at Darlington House at 8:30pm November 12th

We'll be joined by Stacey Monk and Sanjay Patel of Epic Change, Mama Lucy Kamptoni, the founder of Shepherds Junior school in Tanzania, and two of her students, Leah Albert & Gideon Gidori, who recently graduated and will be visiting the US (and leaving their country) for the very first time.

We hope you can join us to enjoy some dessert together, hang out, and give thanks to Mama Lucy, and countless changemakers like her, who make our world a better place by pouring their hearts into the future we share. You can read more about Mama Lucy, Leah & Gideon under the "Mama Lucy" and "The Kids" links at http://www.EpicThanks.org.

Epic Thanks is a global celebration of gratitude and giving in honor of radical visionaries who create hope in our world. This special event will honor one such visionary, Tanzanian Epic Change fellow Mama Lucy Kamptoni, a woman who once sold chickens & used what she earned as the seed money to build a school in her village - a school that now serves over 500 children and is consistently ranked among the finest in her area.  Mama Lucy will travel from Tanzania to attend the event, and will bring with her two students, Leah Albert & Gideon Gidori, who will be visiting the US (and leaving their country) for the very first time.

Funds raised will benefit Epic Change, a US nonprofit that is currently investing in the construction of Mama Lucy's secondary school to ensure that students who have recently graduated have a place to continue their education in Mama Lucy's loving care.

Join us as we give thanks to Mama Lucy, and countless changemakers like her, who make our world a better place by pouring their hearts into the future we share.
